Inspired Fitness Studio is home to a team of passionate coaches who strive to build a supportive environment for clients to break out of their comfort zones and reach new heights on their fitness journeys. We believe in hard yet fun classes that make you smile as much as they make you sweat. Our team teaches a variety of classes including LesMills, and we utilize our years of experience in the fitness industry to make each class the best experience possible.

HEIDI LEMANSKY

Owner & Fitness Instructor

I love how a good workout makes me feel and I love sharing that with others. That passion led me to become a certified instructor. The energy, motivation, and support you find in group fitness classes is like nothing else. Over the years, group fitness has become a huge part of my life. At Inspired Fitness Studio, I hope to bring a space for people to come together, workout, release stress, get fit and have fun doing it. I only discovered Les Mills a few years ago but quickly fell in love with it and was hooked. Les Mills brings you the perfect combination of exercise and music that will get your energy through the roof and leave you craving more. I am currently certified in Les Mills BodyPump, BodyCombat and BodyAttack. I am also a certified TRX instructor and currently studying to become a NASM certified personal trainer. When I am not in the studio, I am a full-time mother and wife to my 3 amazing kids and husband. I am also a Registered Dental Hygienist and work part-time in a busy periodontal office. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, watersports, or just hanging out on the lake with my family making memories.

NIKKI MEAD

Fitness Instructor

Nikki Mead started dancing at one of the most structured and technique-based studios in the area, Kimberly’s School of Dance Education. She was exposed to competitions and conventions at an early age and was recognized by some of the greats in the dance industry as having exceptional technique and execution; She was selected to tour the country as a VIP to famous choreographers throughout various convention outlets. She attended Eastern Connecticut State University and doubled majored in Fine Arts-Dance and Business Administration. During that time she continued to competed regionally and nationally, traveling all over the United States, as part of the ECSU Dance Team. She later captained and coached the team and taught various classes at local colleges including ECSU as part of her internship. She owned and operated a dance studio, The Inspired Arts Company, for 15 years before refocusing her career to include fitness. She has taught Pilates, Barre, various other fitness formats and is also a certified Les Mills BODYSTEP instructor at Inspired Fitness Studio in Charlton, MA. She believes that no matter what level you are at, anyone can do anything, with enough determination! Bring on the fitness fun!

Jilanne Hobson is an Instructor at Inspired Fitness Studio. Physical Therapist Assistant at Harrington Hospital and Old Sturbridge Academy. Former Dance Instructor for over 25 years at Oklahoma City University, The Inspired Arts Dance Studio, and other local studios. Mother of two incredible young adults. Bachelor in Performing Arts and Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Les Mills Certified in Body Combat, Body Flow and Sh’Bam since 2012. I have been a dancer my whole life, so that was my first love. When I first joined the fitness world, my passion for dance transitioned to focusing on health and wellness. Teaching Les Mills programs has brought both of my worlds together, promoting healthy lifestyles while being a part of a community that all have a common bond. Throughout this journey, fitness has been the outlet to balance home, work and family. Now that I am about to be an empty nester, I look forward to having Group Fitness in my life not only as an instructor but as a participant.

JULIE FRANCIS-ASHMEAD

I am the sleep deprived, caffeine dependent mother of four daughters. I have a degree in nutrition and have been a Registered Dietitian since 2004, and transitioned into a fitness focus in 2014. I am currently certified in Les Mills group fitness for BodyPump, BodyFlow, BodyAttack, CX Worx, and BodyCombat. I am also certified in TRX and a NASM certified personal trainer. Growing up, my dad was an amateur body builder and my mom owned and operated Perfect Shape Gym in Webster Ma. I credit my parents for getting me into the lifestyle. My own health career started by working behind the front desk at my parents‘ gym when I was old enough. In 2005, I began teaching group exercise classes such as Kick Boxing, SilverSneakers and Group Power. In 2007, I worked as a Rehab. Aide at Uxbrldge Orthopedic and Sports Therapy and learned much about injuries and how to fix and prevent them. Currently, I am an ACE certified Personal Trainer and have been training since 2009. I have worked with all types of people, from first-timers to top athletes and competitors. I pride myself in my vast knowledge of training techniques and am an open book when it comes to the human body. My Philosophy: “How do you expect to move WITH weights, if you can’t move your body correctly WITHOUT them?”

MELISSA

My name is Melissa and for fun I’m a group fitness instructor and personal trainer. I began my fitness career 5 years ago because of my passion for LesMills BodyStep and love for the group/team aspect of group fitness. In addition to being a fitness fanatic, I’m an attorney at MAPFRE Insurance, and a Nichols College Alumna and Board of Advisor member.
